Cutting-Edge Care Options Now More Accessible for Patients

Rochester Clinical Research Offers Solutions to Regional Care Providers

Rochester Clinical Research (RCR) has announced the launch of their Community Research Division (RCRCD). RCR is a leading clinical research facility in Western New York with well established relationships with pharmaceutical, vaccine and device companies. The new division will bring the value of clinical research as a care option further out into our community by partnering with area practices.

Adam Larrabee, President of RCR, commented “RCR will provide a unique opportunity to Monroe County healthcare providers to partner with a research organization here in Rochester, NY. Facilitating meaningful relationships with area physicians will give upstate NY residents access to cutting edge care options through clinical research.”

Launched in 2021, RCRCD’s mission is to deliver clinical trial access at the point of care by providing integrated research staff and infrastructure. Nurse Practitioner and Director of Rochester Clinical Research Community Division, Tia Albro, says “Right now, there is a care gap in medicine and healthcare systems. There are limited resources and limited time available for patients, and both have been exacerbated by COVID-19. Our Community Division creates a mutually beneficial research partnership with area physicians. Our solution addresses the administrative and resource burden associated with the complexities of clinical trial conduct at the practice level. Our mission is to make research more efficient and accessible.”

Dr. Shelly Kane, a provider at Ridgeview Internal Medicine, began partnering with RCRCD in 2021. Kane commented “This has been such a unique opportunity to provide an additional care option to my patients. It’s intellectually stimulating. It is a rewarding experience for everyone involved. I am proud to initiate work with the RCRCD team and excited to continue to apply their insights and thought leadership to support collaboration between Rochester Clinical Research and regional providers and their patients. ”

Through the Community Division, RCR has expanded its offerings to more specialized treatment options and is further integrating clinical research into the patient care cycle. If you are a provider in the Rochester area who is looking to provide alternative care options to your patients, receive additional revenue, and help advance medicine and change lives, then becoming a partner with RCR may be right for you.
