Cardiovascular Research Study

Rochester Clinical Research in Buffalo is studying an investigational oral medication to see if it can help lower the risk of serious heart and blood vessel problems. These problems can include heart attack, stroke, or other major circulation issues.

This Phase III study is enrolling adults who:

  • Are 18 years or older and have a history of heart or blood vessel disease
    OR
  • Men age 50+ or women age 55+ who are at high risk for their first heart event
  • Are currently taking a stable, doctor-prescribed cholesterol-lowering treatment, such as a statin

Participants will continue their standard cholesterol treatment and will receive either the study medication or a placebo (inactive pill). The study team will closely monitor your heart health throughout the study.

If you or a loved one is living with heart disease — or may be at high risk — you may be eligible to help advance future treatment options.
