Heart and Diabetes Research Study
Do You Take Medicine for BOTH High Blood Pressure AND Type 2 Diabetes?
You may qualify for a clinical research study if you also have heart or blood vessel disease.
Compensation for time and travel may be available.
No health insurance is required.
You may qualify if you:
✔ Are 18 years of age or older
✔ Take medicine for high blood pressure
✔ Take medicine for Type 2 diabetes
✔ Have been diagnosed with heart or blood vessel disease
You must also have at least ONE of these:
- Atrial fibrillation, also called A-fib
- Atrial flutter
- Peripheral artery disease, also called PAD, along with coronary artery disease, also called CAD
- A history of stroke
You may not qualify if you have:
✘ Heart failure
Why Is This Study Being Done?
Researchers are studying an investigational medicine for people who have:
- Type 2 diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Heart or blood vessel disease
The study will look at the safety of the investigational medicine and how well it works when taken with another study medicine.
You May Be a Good Fit for This Study If:
- You currently take medicine for high blood pressure
- You currently take medicine for Type 2 diabetes
- A doctor has told you that you have heart or blood vessel disease
- You have A-fib, atrial flutter, PAD with CAD, or a history of stroke
- You have not been diagnosed with heart failure
You must be taking medicine for both high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes to qualify.
What Does Heart or Blood Vessel Disease Mean?
You may have heart or blood vessel disease if a doctor has told you that you have:
- A-fib
- Atrial flutter
- Peripheral artery disease, or PAD
- Coronary artery disease, or CAD
- A history of stroke
