Heart and Diabetes Research Study

Do You Take Medicine for BOTH High Blood Pressure AND Type 2 Diabetes?

You may qualify for a clinical research study if you also have heart or blood vessel disease.

Compensation for time and travel may be available.
No health insurance is required.

You may qualify if you:

✔ Are 18 years of age or older
✔ Take medicine for high blood pressure
✔ Take medicine for Type 2 diabetes
✔ Have been diagnosed with heart or blood vessel disease

You must also have at least ONE of these:

  • Atrial fibrillation, also called A-fib
  • Atrial flutter
  • Peripheral artery disease, also called PAD, along with coronary artery disease, also called CAD
  • A history of stroke

You may not qualify if you have:

✘ Heart failure


Why Is This Study Being Done?

Researchers are studying an investigational medicine for people who have:

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Heart or blood vessel disease

The study will look at the safety of the investigational medicine and how well it works when taken with another study medicine.

You May Be a Good Fit for This Study If:

  • You currently take medicine for high blood pressure
  • You currently take medicine for Type 2 diabetes
  • A doctor has told you that you have heart or blood vessel disease
  • You have A-fib, atrial flutter, PAD with CAD, or a history of stroke
  • You have not been diagnosed with heart failure

You must be taking medicine for both high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes to qualify.

What Does Heart or Blood Vessel Disease Mean?

You may have heart or blood vessel disease if a doctor has told you that you have:

  • A-fib
  • Atrial flutter
  • Peripheral artery disease, or PAD
  • Coronary artery disease, or CAD
  • A history of stroke
