Every cigarette contains a deadly mix of 7,000 chemicals, including hundreds that are harmful and about 70 known to cause cancer. According to the CDC, tobacco use causes more than 480,000 deaths in the U.S. each year — including 41,000 from secondhand smoke exposure.
If you’ve recently quit smoking or are ready to quit soon, you may be eligible to join a research study to help people stay smoke-free for good.
Rochester Clinical Research is currently enrolling adults in a research study assessing if individuals who recently quit, or willing to quit within a week of their first visit decrease their risk of relapse to cigarette smoking in adults who recently quit. The study will last approximately 34 weeks with 10 visits to our office and 6 “zoom” visits. There is a 33% chance of placebo.
