About the Study

Yellow fever is a viral infection spread by mosquitoes, primarily in tropical regions of Africa and South America. It can cause mild symptoms like fever, chills, and muscle pain, but in severe cases, it can lead to liver damage, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), internal bleeding, and organ failure. There is no specific treatment, but a highly effective vaccine provides long-term protection.

The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness and safety of an investigational vaccine compared to an already approved yellow fever vaccine in adults 18 years up to 60 years. This investigational product would allow for sustainable and robust production, therefore, reducing the risk of a shortage of a Yellow Fever vaccine worldwide. Health insurance is not required nor needed to participate in this study.
