Type 2 Diabetes, Heart & Blood Pressure Study

Rochester Clinical Research is enrolling adults ages 18 and older for a study looking at a new treatment for people with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.

This study is enrolling at both Rochester & Buffalo locations.

Location: Buffalo, New York

About the Study

The purpose of this study is to see if adding an investigational medicine to a commonly used diabetes medication may help lower the risk of serious heart problems, such as heart failure or heart-related death. Researchers will also look at how the treatment may affect blood pressure and kidney health.

This study will include regular health check-ins, lab tests, and study visits to help monitor your safety and how well the treatment is working over time.

Qualifications

You May Qualify if you are:

  • 18 years or older
  • Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
  • Have high blood pressure
  • Have a history of heart or blood vessel disease (such as prior heart issues)
  • Currently receiving standard medical care for these conditions

Other qualifications apply during screening.
