About the Study
The purpose of this study is to see if adding an investigational medicine to a commonly used diabetes medication may help lower the risk of serious heart problems, such as heart failure or heart-related death. Researchers will also look at how the treatment may affect blood pressure and kidney health.
This study will include regular health check-ins, lab tests, and study visits to help monitor your safety and how well the treatment is working over time.
Qualifications
You May Qualify if you are:
- 18 years or older
- Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- Have high blood pressure
- Have a history of heart or blood vessel disease (such as prior heart issues)
- Currently receiving standard medical care for these conditions
