Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Rochester Clinical Research is seeking adults to participate in a research study evaluating an investigational medication for nerve pain caused by diabetes (diabetic peripheral neuropathy).

Age Range: 18 to 80
Gender: Male and Female
Location: Rochester, New York

About the Study

This research study is evaluating an investigational medication for its ability to help reduce nerve pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is a common complication of diabetes that can cause symptoms like:

  • Burning or shooting pain
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Sensitivity in the legs or feet

Current treatment options may not work well for everyone or may cause unwanted side effects. This study is exploring a different approach that targets how pain signals are sent through the nerves.

  • Are 18 to 80 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes
  • Experience moderate nerve pain in both legs or feet for at least 1 year
  • Have stable diabetes management
  • Are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant

Additional criteria will be reviewed by the study team to determine eligibility.
