Adults 18 years and older may qualify for a study evaluating an investigational oral study medication for elevated lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)], a type of cholesterol-related particle linked to cardiovascular risk.
This research study is evaluating an investigational study medication called muvalaplin. The purpose is to assess whether muvalaplin can help reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with elevated Lp(a) who have either had a prior atherosclerotic cardiovascular event or are at risk for a first cardiovascular event
Qualifications
You may be able to join if you:
-Are 18 years of age or older.
-Have elevated Lp(a) based on study testing.
-Have had a prior cardiovascular event, or have risk factors that may place you at risk for a first cardiovascular event.
-Are willing to attend study visits and follow study procedures for the duration of the study.
-Are on stable doses of certain cholesterol-lowering medications, if applicable.
